Today marks a special day for the MTV Staying Alive Foundation. We’re extremely proud to announce that Becca Dudley, MTV News presenter, is our new Ambassador.

Becca Dudley has always been interested in Foundation’s efforts to protect young people against HIV around the world. She has had first-hand experience of the stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV, having worked with HIV-positive women and children in Kenya:

“I believe strongly in helping change this awful stigma through education and conversation, and I feel that if I can make an impact on at least one person, I’ve made a difference”.

A familiar face in the London art and fashion scene, Becca Dudley has many strings to her bow and as well as bringing a mix of youth and sass to her presenting she is also Associate Editor of quarterly fashion magazine Fiasco, and can add photo shoot directing, fashion blogging, and clothes styling for the likes of Ellie Goulding to her resume.

Be sure to check out Becca’s first street interviews as our shiny new MTV Staying Alive Ambassador.

Twenty-three year old, Essex born Becca graduated from The London College of Fashion with a degree in Fashion Styling and Photography. She currently combines her passion for fashion with working as both an editor and stylist for FIASCO magazine, most recently interviewing the legendary dub reggae artist Lee Scratch Perry. Becca is equally as at home in front of the camera as behind and has a successful modelling career starring in an impressive number of music videos, campaigns, billboards and commercials.

In 2012, Becca was signed up as one of the new faces of MTV UK. As well as presenting the daily news, she reports from movie premieres and red carpet events such as the EMA’s, the Brit Awards and the Mercury Awards; she has even co-presented an MTV show alongside superstar Ne-Yo!

If she isn’t at FIASCO or MTV HQ, you will find Becca dj-ing reggae, dancehall and hip hop at major venues across London. Becca, a skilled drummer, hails from a musical family and can often be found jamming in the garage with her mum (bass), her dad (guitar) and her siblings (vocals and percussion)…
