This week, MTV Staying Alive Foundation was lucky enough to be invited to take part in BGC’s annual Charity Day.

The Charity Day was created to remember the 658 colleagues and 61 Eurobrokers employees who lost their lives on September 11th 2001, and sees 100% of BGC’s global revenues on the day going to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, as well as number of other chosen charities.

Since its inception, Charity Day has raised around $125 million globally – an incredible amount of money – and we were so honoured to be there this year.

We headed over to the BGC London offices in Canary Wharf to meet up with David Haye, our amazing celebrity ambassador for the day, and made our way up to the trading floor.

David had a great time, taking calls and making trades to raise as much money as possible for us (as well as another charity, Caudwell Children), and we reckon he was a natural!

We bumped into fellow boxing superstars Chris Eubank and Chris Eubank Jr., as well as Pippa Middleton and actor Tom Hardy, all of whom were busy being put to work with the traders.

A huge thanks again to BGC for inviting us down, and for David Haye for working so hard to raise money for MTV Staying Alive Foundation.
