Amidst constant threats to reproductive rights, 'Everybody's Fight: An In Bloom Series' draws on the experiences of people seeking reproductive care, frontline providers, and abortion rights advocates who navigate a complex and dangerous reality. Executive Producers Phoebe Gates and Karlie Kloss are supporting the films and using their platforms to spark crucial conversations, encouraging young audiences to take action for the change they wish to see.
The limited series blends narrative stories with real-life accounts, highlighting both those most impacted by reproductive freedom restrictions and those chronicling the fight on the frontlines. The series will be available on YouTube on October 22nd on the and will be featured on Paramount+ as well as other Paramount linear channels early next year. It will also be offered cost-free to advocacy and grassroots organizations dedicated to reproductive freedom. Campaign partners will incorporate the films into their community engagement efforts through screenings at local events and on college campuses.
“This second installment of the In Bloom series aims again to put a spotlight on untold and compelling stories of women and those working on the frontline to help drive thinking and conversations around these injustices”, said Wame Jallow, Executive Director, MTV Staying Alive Foundation. “In the face of a rolling back of reproductive rights around the world, these new films tell the stories of how in the US, underrepresented groups consistently face significant barriers in accessing reproductive healthcare and remind us that the fight for reproductive freedom is a collective one, that demands collective action. We hope this series will go some way to help prevent reproductive rights being turned into reproductive wrongs.”
"The stakes have never been higher for reproductive freedom," emphasized Phoebe Gates. "As we stand on the brink of a historic election, we're not just fighting to regain what was lost. We're fighting for a future in which reproductive rights are recognized as foundational, upon which our freedom and opportunity rest. My generation now has fewer rights than those who came before us. But we won’t accept that. These stories amplify voices at a pivotal moment, emphasizing that now is the time to take action.”
“As we navigate this critical moment in history, ensuring access to reproductive healthcare is more urgent than ever,” said Karlie Kloss. “Our series speaks directly to the heart of this fight – protecting the right to control our own bodies and futures. These films are a wake-up call, a reminder that this fight for reproductive freedom is far from over. We stand united, sharing our stories, and ensuring that no one is left behind.”
The series will comprise 3 documentaries and 2 narrative short films. The documentaries are produced by Emmy-nominated Culture House, a Black, Brown, and women-owned media company known for celebrated series including Black Twitter,.
